Anonymous asked: shortest retirement ever haha

well this uni thing is something that I have to do. once that is done I don’t know how involved I will be with photography but I’ll just be doing it for enjoyment, nothing else.

I’ve been planning my uni photography project for the last 9 weeks without a real solid idea or theme about what it was meant to be and it suddenly just came to me and this is the greatest feeling!! Cannot wait to get started in taking the photos and showing you all.

so after saying that I wasn’t going to do photos anymore, I ended up spending 2 hours taking some pretty great shots and making friends with horses. I’ll upload some later!

jacargon asked: In response to your anon, you can pay an extra fee and get your visa extended to 5 years and be able to stay sixth months at a time, I did that last year.

^^

Anonymous asked: How are you moving to america for 6 months? You can only go over for 3 months at a time, and working visas are really hard to get. You also can't be in the country when you apply....

I’m doing uni exchange for a semester.

This isn’t really a post that I thought I would ever write, or at least write this early but I’ve decided to let go of photography. I don’t really want to say give up because I don’t think that this is something I have failed in and I’m sure this won’t be forever, but for now I’m taking a step back from it. I’ve begun selling a lot of my equipment and I’m using the money to help fund my move to America next year for 6 months. I don’t have the self motivation or drive to continue thinking or hoping that I could do this as a career and frankly, I compare myself and get too jealous of other brilliant photographers and their work for me to truly be happy in doing this.

I would like to thank everyone that has ever said a kind word about my photos, liked or reblogged my posts or even just pressed the follow button. The support that you guys have given me over the last few years on this blog has been amazing and I hope to share photos with you again sometime in the future.

I’ll probably post a photo here and there for a while but I don’t see myself taking anything new for a couple of months, apart from my uni portfolio project. Hopefully, if it turns out as planned it will look really good and I’ll share it. I don’t want this to be something that i give up forever, and I know that I won’t be but for now I’m going to put it all aside.

thanks, again xo

I’m too sick to go and shoot The Getaway Plan tonight so here’s a photo I took at their sound check last time I saw them play.
